Creosote formation in wood burning systems takes many forms, liquid, runny, damp or sticky, crumbly, glazed and hard. While some creosote can be removed by brushing, others require chemical conditioning to render them more brush-able. Creosote build-up is flammable and presents a potentially serious hazard.
